Scholarships
The National Federation of the Blind offers valuable scholarship opportunities to support blind, low vision, and deafblind students in achieving their educational goals. Scholarships are available both at the state and national levels.
NFB of Massachusetts State Scholarship Program:
The NFB of Massachusetts state scholarship program supports blind and low vision residents of the Commonwealth who are pursuing postsecondary education. Awards are based on academic achievement, community involvement, and leadership potential.

National Federation of the Blind Scholarship Program:
At the national level, the National Federation of the Blind awards over $250,000 annually in scholarships to outstanding blind students across the United States. Eligible applicants must be legally blind and enrolled full-time in postsecondary education.

Springfield Chapter Board of Directors
The Greater Springfield Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Massachusetts is led by a dedicated and passionate board of directors who work tirelessly to support, empower, and advocate for blind and low vision individuals throughout the Springfield area. This committed leadership team strives to create an inclusive and accessible community by promoting awareness, advancing independence, and ensuring equal opportunities in education, employment, and daily life. Through advocacy, outreach, and community engagement, the board fosters a supportive environment where members can build confidence, develop skills, and connect with resources that enhance their quality of life.
